Catalog Vve. Hasslauer, succ. Gambier, 1868

In 1868, Veuve Hasslauer successor of Gambier employed 600 workers in the town of Givet, France. This was the highest recorded workforce in the lifetime of the famous French clay pipe manufacturer.

That same year Gambier published its second catalog, giving us some insight in the models that appealed to the French clay pipe smoker in the second half of the nineteenth century.
